In May 2008, students, staff and community members opened a Memorial Park to recognize alumni who have lost their lives. The 2007-2008 Student Council, led by President Daniel MacDonald and Secretary Simone Spears, organized a number of donations to assist with the Park's creation.

In the short time that they solicited for items, the group was able to collect the following: a bench from Highland Building Supplies, flowers from Walmart, walkway stones from Terry Croft Carpentry and Painting, a bench from Central Supplies, a Japanese Maple Tree from Atlantic Superstore and flowers from Birchhill Bed and Breakfast and Guest House. As well, Jeremy Stevens made a monetary donation and Tim and Roselyn Spears donated flowers. Thank you to the Jordan Family (Larry, Virginia, Samantha, Janey and Josie) who donated a bird feeder and stand.

The hope is to add fencing, a bird bath and a bird feeder to the Park this spring along with some additional walking stones. If anyone would like to donate to its cause, they are asked to contact the school and speak to Mr. Keay.
